Philly MLS goes regional with Youth Soccer

eypsa_partnership_flat1

Philadelphia’s MLS ownership is building a community throughout the Delaware Valley.  Could this be the first step in maximizing the potential for home-grown talent?  Let’s hope so.   Everybody loves to cheer on the kid from up the street when he/she goes pro for the home team.

Can You Dig It?

The earth has officially been parted. The new Philly MLS franchise hosted its Groundbreaking Ceremony at the foot of the Commodore Barry Bridge this afternoon.  League Commish, Don Garber addressed both the faithful (aka Sons of Ben), the media, and all those taking part in or merely excited about the future of the Chester Waterfront.

Team owner, Nick Sakiewicz also took today’s opportunity to announce a partnership with Panasonic who will assist in the technological development of the new stadium.

Stay tuned for an audio/slideshow of the ceremony.  I’ll post it later this week… hopefully.

can you dig it?

Oh Happy Day!

Just our friendly reminder that today is the big day people! Get out to the new stadium site by 2:30 PM to see the official ground-breaking ceremony. This is a big day in the history of the Philadelphia 2010 team and everyone should look to be a part of it. Look out for the Midfielders and the SoB doing some tailgating in the parking lot!
